The goal is to make composition more approachable while keeping musicians at the centre — giving people a fast way to turn a brief into notation they can inspect, hear and use.

ImpromptuAI is currently a one-person team, built by Dr Matthew Winnel. Matt combines formal music training and performance experience with a PhD in computational physics and deep-tech software expertise. He designed and built the iOS app and backend, bringing together AI, music engraving and audio technology.
